Course Overview

This comprehensive beginner-level course introduces students to the essential beliefs, practices, and character-building principles of Islam. The curriculum follows a progressive structure—starting with Aqeedah (belief), moving into Ibadat (worship), and concluding with Seerah (the life of the Prophet ﷺ) and Akhlaq (character). Through engaging lessons and real-life application, students will not only gain knowledge but also learn how to embody Islamic values in their daily lives.

Course Structure

Month 1: Aqeedah – Foundations of Faith

Focus: Core beliefs of Islam

Week 1: Belief in Allah (Tawhid)
  • Lesson 1: Who is Allah?
  • Goal: Understand Tawhid and Allah’s names and attributes
  • Outcome: Students can explain Tawhid and connect three names of Allah to real-life examples
  • Lesson 2: Belief in the Unseen
  • Goal: Learn about angels, divine books, and the unseen
  • Outcome: Identify key elements of Iman and their relevance
Week 2: Prophets & the Hereafter
  • Lesson 3: Who is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?
  • Goal: Learn about the final prophet’s life and character
  • Outcome: Summarize major life events and qualities
  • Lesson 4: Belief in Prophets & the Day of Judgment
  • Goal: Explore the concept of prophethood and accountability
  • Outcome: Describe the importance of belief in the Day of Judgment
Week 3: Understanding Divine Decree (Qadr)
  • Lesson 5: What is Qadr?
  • Goal: Understand destiny and human responsibility
  • Outcome: Explain Islamic views on divine will and free will
  • Lesson 6: Review & Reflection
  • Goal: Consolidate Aqeedah learning
  • Outcome: Reflect on how belief shapes behavior
Week 4: Faith in Action
  • Lesson 7: Linking Faith & Character
  • Goal: Show how belief impacts manners and conduct
  • Outcome: Identify examples of good character rooted in faith
  • Lesson 8: Role-Play & Real-Life Scenarios
  • Goal: Apply Aqeedah through interaction
  • Outcome: Demonstrate values in practical situations

Month 2: Ibadat – Acts of Worship

Focus: Learning the pillars of Islam and daily worship

Week 1: Introduction to Worship
  • Lesson 1: The Five Pillars of Islam
  • Goal: Understand the core structure of Islamic practice
  • Outcome: Name and explain each pillar
  • Lesson 2: Shahadah & Salah
  • Goal: Deepen understanding of faith and prayer
  • Outcome: Explain the declaration of faith and importance of prayer
Week 2: Purification & Prayer
  • Lesson 3: How to Make Wudu
  • Goal: Learn the physical and spiritual aspects of Wudu
  • Outcome: Perform Wudu correctly
  • Lesson 4: Daily Prayers Explained
  • Goal: Learn steps, postures, and etiquette of prayer
  • Outcome: Perform prayers with correct actions and recitation
Week 3: Fasting & Charity
  • Lesson 5: Fasting in Ramadan (Sawm)
  • Goal: Understand the rules and rewards of fasting
  • Outcome: Describe how to fast and why it’s important
  • Lesson 6: Zakah & Sadaqah
  • Goal: Explore the role of charity in Islam
  • Outcome: Differentiate Zakah and Sadaqah and explain their social impact
Week 4: Pilgrimage & Worship Ethics
  • Lesson 7: The Hajj Journey
  • Goal: Learn about Hajj rituals and spiritual meaning
  • Outcome: Identify main steps of Hajj and their significance
  • Lesson 8: Worship and Character
  • Goal: Connect worship to ethical behavior
  • Outcome: Explain how worship develops good habits and discipline

Month 3: Seerah & Akhlaq – The Life and Legacy of the Prophet ﷺ

Focus: Learning from the Prophet’s life and character

Week 1: Early Life of the Prophet ﷺ
  • Lesson 1: Childhood and Youth
  • Goal: Understand the Prophet’s early years
  • Outcome: Retell key events and highlight character traits
  • Lesson 2: The First Revelation
  • Goal: Learn about the start of prophethood
  • Outcome: Describe the moment and its meaning
Week 2: The Makkan Period
  • Lesson 3: Facing Challenges in Makkah
  • Goal: Learn about hardships faced by the Prophet ﷺ
  • Outcome: Relate challenges to personal life lessons
  • Lesson 4: Patience and Perseverance
  • Goal: Explore the Prophet’s resilience
  • Outcome: Apply lessons of patience in daily life
Week 3: The Madinan Period
  • Lesson 5: The Prophet as a Leader
  • Goal: Learn leadership traits from the Seerah
  • Outcome: Identify qualities of justice, kindness, and wisdom
  • Lesson 6: Justice and Kindness in Practice
  • Goal: Learn through real-life stories
  • Outcome: Apply these values in discussion or role-play
Week 4: Character & Reflection
  • Lesson 7: Seerah Summary & Key Messages
  • Goal: Recap major events and morals
  • Outcome: Create a timeline or storyboard of key moments
  • Lesson 8: Character-Building Activities
  • Goal: Live out the morals of the Prophet ﷺ
  • Outcome: Participate in projects or activities demonstrating Akhlaq

  • Completion Certificate: Awarded to students who complete the course with active participation
