Course Overview

This beginner-friendly Arabic course is designed to help you build a strong foundation in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Over the course of one month, you will learn how to confidently recognize, pronounce, and write Arabic letters, as well as engage in basic conversations. No prior knowledge of Arabic is required — just your curiosity and commitment to learning!

Course Breakdown

Week 1: Mastering the Alphabet

Focus: Recognizing and pronouncing Arabic letters

Objectives:

  • Learn accurate pronunciation of Arabic letters
  • Differentiate between similar letters by shape and dot placement

Expected Outcomes:

  • Confident recognition of individual Arabic letters
  • Correct pronunciation of distinct letter sounds

Key Activities:

  • Lesson 1: Introduction to 17 letters grouped by shape and dot patterns
    • ب، ت، ث، ن، ي
    • ج، ح، خ
    • س، ش
    • د، ذ، ر، ز
  • Lesson 2: Introduction to the remaining 14 letters
    • ف، ق، ك، ع، غ، هـ
    • ل، م
    • أ، و
    • ص، ض، ط، ظ
  • Practice exercises in writing, recognition, and pronunciation
Week 2: Connecting Letters & Vowels

Focus: Letter connection & long vowel integration

Objectives:

  • Learn to connect letters in words
  • Introduce and apply long vowels in writing and reading
  • Strengthen listening and pronunciation

Expected Outcomes:

  • Ability to write connected Arabic letters
  • Understanding and use of long vowels (ا، ي، و)
  • Form simple connected words with proper pronunciation

Key Activities:

  • Lesson 3: Practice connecting letters in writing and reading
  • Lesson 4: Add long vowels to connected letters
    • Read and write words with long vowels
    • Practice pronunciation through listening exercises
Week 3: Building Words & Conversations

Focus: Combining skills — reading, writing, listening, speaking

Objectives:

  • Read and write simple words and phrases using connected letters and vowels
  • Strengthen conversation skills through listening practice

Expected Outcomes:

  • Ability to construct and read simple Arabic sentences
  • Improved pronunciation and comprehension
  • Confidence in basic conversation scenarios

Key Activities:

  • Lesson 5: Read and write useful phrases like:
    • مرحباً، شكراً، صباح الخير، أهلاً، كيف حالك؟
  • Lesson 6: Listen to short dialogues and practice pronunciation
    • Engage in roleplay and basic spoken interactions
Week 4: Fluent Practice & Review

Focus: Fluency, comprehension, and review

Objectives:

  • Enhance fluency in reading and speaking
  • Review all letters and vowels through real-life conversations
  • Prepare for final evaluation

Expected Outcomes:

  • Ability to read and write full simple sentences with ease
  • Confidence in speaking and understanding common conversations
  • Full mastery of the Arabic alphabet and basic communication

Key Activities:

  • Lesson 7: Practice writing and reading full sentences
  • Lesson 8: Engage in structured conversations and listening tasks
    • Respond to prompts using vocabulary and grammar from previous lessons

Assessment & Certification

  • Weekly Quizzes: To track your progress in pronunciation, writing, and reading
  • Final Review & Evaluation: Comprehensive test on reading, writing, listening, and speaking

Certificate of Completion: Awarded upon successfully finishing the course
